Safety Policy

Our Occupational, Health, Safety and Rehabilitation policy is based on a strong belief that the major priority is that of the health and safety of our team and of the people with whom we come in contact with in the delivery of our services. As such their well-being must be given utmost consideration in the delivery of all duties by staff.

The success of our health and safety management is dependant on:

Pro-active planning of all work activities with consideration given to implementing OH&S

Controls that are relevant to each situation.

Understanding and appreciating the total work process and associated OH&S risks.

Ensuring our team is committed to achieving (or exceeding) our goals.

Encouraging open and honest communication amongst our team members.

 

Occupational Health & Safety

BFMS is committed to implementing and maintaining OH&S in the working environment for our team members, residents and visitors of the development. We consider OH&S an investment for the future by achieving the following:

	Ensure our equipment, work practices, systems and procedures comply with the requirements of the OH&S act 2000 and associated  OH&S regulations.
	Provide safe equipment and manageable systems.
	Maintain and monitor systems for the safe storage and transportation of equipment.
	Strive to maintain and encourage a safe and healthy workplace.
	Ensure that team members possess the necessary skills and qualifications to perform their duties.
	Provide suitable training, meaningful information and ongoing management for all staff.
	Protect the safety of our residents, contractors, visitors, staff and the public when they are present on the sites under our management.
	Identify, assess, control, and eliminate risks within the workplace in a timely manner.
	Regularly review OH&S procedures to allow for improvements in our safety performance through the identification of hazards and risks.
	Give timely assistance to injured workers and work towards eliminating workplace injury.
